We received a call from Joanne, the daughter of Carole, a 92 year old woman living in Lake Worth. She asked for a nice CareGiver suitable to be a companion to her mother Monday-Friday, for four hours per day. Carole was still active but needed someone to help with light house cleaning, errands and companionship. After carefully assessing both Carole and potential CareGivers, SeniorConcierge Providers decided that Heather would be the perfect CareGiver.
It did not take long for Carole and Heather to become great friends. Carole started to involve her CareGiver in more social and administrative activities, including accompanying her to doctors' appointments, doing her grocery shopping and paying her bills. She soon required more than four hours per day to fulfill all her responsibilities. Carole increased the hours to 12 hours a day, seven days a week. They did everything together from dining at restaurants to hairdresser and shopping excursions.
Unfortunately, after a few months, Carole's health significantly started to deteriorate. She could no longer be left alone. Heather became a live-in CareGiver, taking care of everything. They became so close that when Carole suddenly passed away, Heather was devastated. She knew so many things about Carole that the family asked her to stay an additional two weeks to assist them with the administration of the home. Even today whenever Heather talks about Carole, you can see a tear run down her cheek.
Anne-Marie and her husband had lived in the same home for more than 50 years. She and her husband raised their two children there and rarely travelled.
When Anne-Marie's husband suddenly passed away, Eve, her daughter. became concerned about her safety and well- being. No one wanted to see her live outside her beloved home and so, the children decided to contact Senior Concierge Providers for a solution.
Vivian, one of their CareGivers, now stays with Anne-Marie five days per week, eight hours per day to ensure she is safe and content.
Anne-Marie loves talking to Vivian about her grandchildren. Vivian does her laundry and fixes Anne-Marie's lunches before sitting down with to read her a book. Vivian also gives the best manis and pedis -- all the while listening to Anne- Marie's stories. Additionally, whenever she does not understand her bills or mail, Vivian goes through the details with Anne-Marie patiently so she comprehends everything.
Anne-Marie likes to call Vivian, her friend.
Mimi's companion called Senior Concierge Providers because he was concerned about her safety. He was working and could not no longer leave her alone.
She was experiencing a serious loss of global cognitive ability. Mimi, a 91 year old great-grandmother born in Poland, is also a Holocaust survivor. She loves telling stories about the war and her extraordinary experiences.
Senior Concierge Providers matched her with a Jewish CareGiver born and raised in Tel Aviv! They are incredibly compatible and enjoy sharing stories about their experiences, their travels to Israel and their involvement with the Jewish community in Florida.
They are even making plans to return to Israel one day together!
After retiring from the U.S. Army, Richie started a small construction firm. As Richie aged, his son became concerned about his well-being.
The years his father had spent as a soldier and active construction worker had taken a physical toll. Richie was especially having trouble standing up from his chair without a helping hand. His son, who had a family of his own and who had to manage a business, soon realized he couldn't provide the care Richie really needed. Richie's family enlisted the help of Lee, a Senior Concierge Providers' CareGiver.
Lee arrives early six days per week, waits outside the bathroom as Richie bathes. Richie loves it when Lee tells him stories. A real storyteller that Lee, Richie tells his son.
To Richie's delight, before Lee leaves for the day, she reads him the front page of his favorite newspaper.
Best of all, Richie's son knows that with Senior Concierge Providers, his dad is in the best of hands.
